What the Frick is that? It’s the Frick Collection, and it’s one of the best museums in New York City! On the Upper East Side of Manhattan to be precise. It has amazing artwork, a peaceful atmosphere, and even a lovely indoor garden with a huge fountain. Randy writes about it here, considering it one of the best getaways in the city. The Annie & Company Needlepoint & Knitting shop on Madison Ave is a needle-pointer or knitter’s heaven! There’s more yarn there than you could imagine. It’s even a place you can come to FOR knitting, as they have chairs and tables across the store for knitters to come and knit and visit with friends! And that’s just the first floor! Well, if you love Medieval and early Renaissance art and architecture, start with the Cloisters – it’s a small part of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s collection. Kyle loves the amazing art, and also how it’s located off the beaten path a bit, so it’s not over-crowded like the Met can be. It allows one to soak up the atmosphere of 1,000 years of history and mystique.
